How often should a player sharpen?
Frequency depends on ice time, player preference, steel condition, damage, and the consistency of the current feel. EDGE memberships create a weekly inspection and preparation rhythm.
Is the E-S4 fully automatic?
The E-S4 automates the grinding movement, but professional setup, inspection, edge verification, honing, documentation, and final quality control remain part of the EDGE process.
Can I bring a hollow from another shop?
Yes. EDGE can use the player’s known starting setup, inspect the steel, and document the intended hollow before service.
Does sharpening preserve the profile?
Elite states that the E-S4 varies speed and pressure along the runner to remove material uniformly and help preserve the existing profile. EDGE also keeps sharpening and profiling connected in the player record.
